MerlinCorp Plc is focused on growth organically and through acquisition. With a record number of bad business plans floating around in the aftermath of the 1995-99 NASDAQ rush, when any silly notion seemed to mean cash in every pocket, MerlinCorp Plc is positioned to approach the market with a breadth of synergistic offering.
There are numerous recruitment companies with good teams or good products but lacking in vertical or horizontal offerings. Our aim is simply to merge with or acquire symbiotic companies to create a single listed company made up of the cream of the industry which is in a position to offer shareholders and employees a return far greater than is possible as a single entity.
Backed by nominated advisors and numerous 'business angels', MerlinCorp Plc has pedigree through depth of experience both internally and externally. Our Managing Director was chairman of a publicly quoted company in 1996 and our largest external investor has effected more than 50 offers/listing in the past three years.
The investment objective of the company is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing principally in smaller quoted and unquoted companies primarily in the United Kingdom.
Application will be made for the ordinary shares of the company to be admitted to the trading on the London Stock Exchange in 2006. At this time it is the Directors' aim to have a group company spanning multiple vertical markets and aggressively ousting incumbents for market share.
The company will seek investments in companies involved in recruitment and training companies at all levels and in which MerlinCorp Plc considers to have:
- An experienced and capable management focused on creating shareholder value
- A valuable core product
- A forecasted exit route in the short to medium term
- Expansion potential
- Most importantly, a synergistic offering to that of MerlinCorp Plc moving forward in Vertical or Horizontal moves
