DESCRIPTION: To be responsible for delivery of licence analysis and optimisation solutions across multiple vendors, manage the delivery of expert SAM managed services and software license expertise to multiple customer accounts. To provide subject matter expertise for at least 2 complex Tier 1 Vendors, such as IBM, Oracle, SAP, and Attachmate with a working knowledge of at least a further 2 complex vendors and to provide training and support to junior members of the team. Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of data centre infrastructure and its impact on software licensing. . The successful candidate will need to be able to identify commercial compliance, business risk opportunity and to possess the skills to communicate at an executive level. Provide support to junior team members, and develop their skills. Delegate to more senior members of the team as required.
FULL DESCRIPTION: To lead the delivery of Managed Service reporting to one or more customer accounts. Take responsibility for the successful delivery of all account related activities, utilising resource from the wider skill-base as required.
To be the subject matter expert on at least two complex Tier1 or 2 vendors such as IBM, Oracle, SAP, Attachmate and to have a good working knowledge across at least a further 2 complex vendors.
To obtain and maintain at least 2 MCP certifications (from Licensing, SAM and Technical).
To continually update your skillset by learning new vendor licensing rules, product usage rights and to educate junior licensing team. Administration and consultancy teams around architecture and complex licensing.
To perform data verification and analysis across multiple data sources and types and produce clear reporting.
To undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions and mitigating activities.
To identify opportunities within and outside of customer base and to co-ordinate meetings to discuss solutions.
To delegate for more senior members of the team as required and to provide support to more junior members of the team.
