- Main Function of Job:
Responsible for leading the Service Delivery function, managing a diverse team of SAM and software licence professionals and providing a broad range of SAM services to growing global client base, with operations predominantly in the UK, the US and Australia . As the Head of Delivery, you will provide oversight and guidance to the delivery teams, ensuring the quality of deliverables, management of customer relationships and driving a programme of continuous improvement though the company’s proprietary technology, as well as acting as a point of escalation for risks and issues identified.
Main Duties Duties / Responsibilities
Provide day to day management of the company’s Service Delivery team of approximately 40 consultants, license specialists and analysts – both office based and remote workers, including the following;
- Ensuring the consistent application of the company’s HR policies and procedures
- Resource allocation and management
- Recruitment, training and development, including the company’s graduate recruitment programme
Complete service delivery customer account ownership and management
Support and supervision of the individual consultancy assignments and client projects analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions and mitigating activities.
Oversight of the on-boarding new client accounts and coordination of the multiple resources required to implement a new account in to BAU to time and quality.
Review of client deliverables, including effective license position reports and executive report packs, across multiple vendors
Reviewing and supporting the delivery of executive reports to customer stakeholders.
Uncovering new customer opportunities and co-ordinating strategy meetings / workshops; to include presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective.
Escalation point for all other teams (data, administration, consultancy).
Management and oversight of ongoing client vendor audits / reviews.
Analysis of market changes and assessing impact on customer licensing and cascading to other departments.
Experience required:
> Demonstrable experience of Tier 1 software vendor license models.
> Consultancy experience with blue chip companies including engaging with senior management and directors. > Experience of performing software asset management at a senior level.
> A proven track record of leading teams on client engagements.
> Proven experience designing and implementing ITAM / SAM programs.
> Analytics – the self-discipline to work through dry documentation and spreadsheets, extracting key information, analysing and modelling.
Forensics and the focused detail to work through the details of a contract or database.
> Hardware analysis expertise – awareness of the contribution importance of hardware devices such as client endpoints, server endpoints, virtualisation, mobile devices, BYOD, etc.
> Licensing analysis expertise – awareness or working knowledge of numerous software licensing models, metrics and calculations covering a wide array of vendor types.
> Contract analysis expertise – awareness or working knowledge of asset related contract, financial and procurement technology.
> Software publisher diversity – in-depth skills and experience with a minimum of Tier 1 vendors, e.g. Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Adobe.
> Discovery tool experience, e.g. Microsoft SCCM, ADDM, Altris, Microsoft MAP tool kit.
> Licence Management tool experience, e.g. License Dashboard, Snow, Aspera, Flexera.
> Full Microsoft experience covering their application, servers and systems stacks.
> Specific understanding and experience of their discovery tools / software reconciliation techniques covering their entire product set.
> Virtualisation and its impacts for ITAM – Citrix, VMware, Oracle, VM.
> ITAM policy and process consultation, creation or re-engineering.
