- Description
- Supporting Public Sector with all quotes and queries relating to Microsoft software. This role is responsible for increasing and influencing the GP contribution across the Public Sector Sales Teams. This is achieved through activities including: CRM Task Management; CRM Opportunity Management; Pipeline Management; Account Mapping; Whitespacing and other ad-hoc tasks as required. The candidate will develop relationships between internal sellers and our software vendors to ensure effective collaboration and maximum commercial leverage.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a virtual team member of allocated sales teams and take responsibility for increasing their software GP
- Manage and allocate CRM opportunities through from open to close (won/lost)
- Identify projects and opportunities to register with vendors
- Provide consultancy advice on all software team supported vendor licensing models
- Generate and close new business opportunities
- Review quotes for cross sell / upsell and further project / licensing opportunities
- Accurate pipeline management and reporting
- Communicate productivity and achievements to sales management on a weekly and quarterly basis
- Work with External Software Consultant for complex deals/bids
- Consulting and assisting Solution Architects on software licensing
Experience required:
- 3+ years previous software licensing sales experience or equivalent will be considered
- Software licensing experience working in a LAR, reseller, distribution or vendor roles
- Hold latest software sales and licensing accreditations or achieve within 3 months for Microsoft (full Getlicensingready, MS-900, AZ-900).
- Additional vendor accreditation as required by business
- Experience of vendor audit reviews and Install Base Reports
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft products and services
- Have an understanding of the competitor landscape with vendors such as: Citrix, VMware, Adobe, Veritas, RedHat, Mimecast, ProofPoint and others
- Have an understanding of the MS Co-Sell landscape with vendors such as: Rubrik, Druva and others
- Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge an advantage)
- Detailed understanding of the Public Sector Frameworks and Crown Commercial process
- Able to work with the tenders and bids team to be able to write and collaborate with the team and sales team.
