Great opportunity to join an established Sales team to get involved in building your own patch of accounts - where you can build and create execution of focussed account development plans for key clients to maximise opportunity, define multi-level contact strategies, provide structured engagement and predictable business development – or you can open the accounts and pass over if you’re a true new business sales professional.
You may be office or home based with regular visits to our clients offices along with travel to customer meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and generate your own business – supported by some lead gen/marketing/relevant and agile GTM propositions etc
- Evaluate the level and quality of business achieved in accordance with business plan, product mix and individual target
- Develops opportunity pipeline in line with client’s budget and funding capacity
- Build value-based client relationships across client/prospect organisations to maximise visibility, influence and effectiveness
- Encourage the management of the client organisation to plan and budget for new and enhanced products and services.
- Encourages the development of new products/service solutions to meet future client/market needs – act as market intelligence conduit
- Execute effective cross and up-sell initiatives within each client/prospect to increase share of wallet, influence and predict future revenue
- Ability to evidence client financial advantage through effective investment ROI modelling
- Establish strong pipeline of well qualified business opportunities, evidencing understanding and control of customer buying criteria and process
- Establishes strong governance, reporting and effective pipeline management resulting in profitable, deliverable revenue growth.
- To ensure that clients understand available IT services, promote financial and commercial awareness in-order to deliver value-for-money.
- Establish repeatable mechanism to capture and frame case study materials to ensure an accurate toolbox of recent success and referenceable client solution
What You’ll Bring:
- Established sales professional, with a strong background in Microsoft (Microsoft Licensing and/or Professional services), Cloud, modern datacentre and service solutions
- Consistent, proven and demonstrable overachievement of appropriate sales performance targets
- Sales experience and performance gained relevant to Reseller (VAR) market – direct customer engagement
- Experience relevant to our clients portfolio, target markets and core go to market propositions (Modern Workplace, IT Asset Management, Storage, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics)
- Practical and demonstrable understanding of solution sales methodology and approach
- Demonstrable approach to sales performance management – pipeline management, gap planning, account/territory planning
- Provision of both performance & client reference-ability
- Has achieved proficiency in the task of stakeholder relationship management.
- Has achieved a top-class reputation and has the appropriate gravitas to build trust and inspire clients.
- Has wide and detailed IT knowledge, together with detailed understanding of the principles of business and markets and sound experience of relevant business sectors.
- Knows how to make and sustain a business case through effective benefits management.
- Has strong and demonstrable planning, communication and presentation skills.
- Is familiar with the structure, skills and business environment of the customer organisations.
- Is customer focussed, with consultancy and business analysis skills.
- Enjoys the confidence of senior management in both the employer and customer organisations.
